his connection is widely used in hydraulic systems. When the straight threads are engaged, the 1/4" male seat seals on the 1/4"° female flare seat. Most thread sizes are identical to the 45° SAE connection as noted (*) below. Care must be taken not to confuse these two connectors, which have different seat angles.
